Sam Hofmann is a 2021 C/ with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Canton, GA who attends The King's Academy. Medium frame with long limbs. Ran a 7.92 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, took reps behind the dish in drills with a side saddle stance, works through the baseball and receives it out in front, low transfer to hand, long release with throws coming from near his ear, 2.08 second best pop time in drills. Right-handed hitter, sets up at the plate with a slightly open stance, takes a leg lift trigger into contact, glides in with a deep hand load and direct hand path to the baseball, will get downhill with swing path, two hand finish. Good student.
