Riley Leadenham is a 2019 2B/RHP, 3B, SS with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Floyd Kellam. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.46 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and gloves plays at the ball, shows range to either side and profiles nicely at second base, lower arm slot on throws at release, accurate across the diamond with arm strength that will continue to develop. Also pitched, simple side step into delivery with leg lift up to belt and slight hip turn at top; medium, on line and clean arm action through the back working to an over-the-top release point. Remains upright through release, gets on top of fastball well and throws for strikes, topped out at 74 mph and flashed curveball at 62 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a short leg lift trigger and raises hands in sync for timing. Upper body dominant swing but stays short to the ball and shows ability to generate lift out front. Stays linear through the zone and generates present bat speed while showing comfort in working the pull side. Very good student.
