Lawson Goodwin is a 2021 3B/RHP, C with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Aragon, GA who attends Darlington. Medium and strong frame. Ran an 8.07 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield fielding the baseball deep into his body, clean transfer to his hand, some whip to his arm with carry across the diamond, showed athleticism when making plays on the run, actions play best at his primary third base position. Secondary righthanded pitcher, simple mechanics with effort to his operation and release, takes his arm back to a compact arm action, lands closed and will improve with added extension out in front, fastball topped out at 77 mph, mixes in a curveball with 10-4 shape. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a spread out stance, shifts his weight into contact well, creates an uphill swing plane with some loft at impact, middle of the field approach with power potential.
