Drew Burress is a 2023 OF with a 5-10 190 lb. frame from Perry, GA who attends Houston County. Compact and very strong build. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread and open start, lifting swing with very fast hands and plus bat speed, power approach that creates tons of back spin and carry, gets the barrel out on time and gets the ball in the air consistently. 6.47 runner in the sixty. Works through the ball well in the outfield, has a short and compact arm stroke and makes on line accurate throws, very good fundamentals with plus athleticism. Also worked out in the infield and his athleticism plays there as well, could be a third baseman/super utility type eventually with repetitions. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Georgia Tech. Selected to play in the Perfect Game All-American Classic.
