Charles Daulton Payne is a 2021 OF/RHP with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Bremen, GA who attends McCallie School. Extra large frame with a bulky build and present strength throughout. Ran a 6.87 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Moves well to the baseball playing below. Solid glove skills and into transitions. Smooth and easy actions. Creates some carry out of the hand topping at 82 MPH. Righthanded hitter with an even stane and high hand set. Utilizes a simple leg lift trigger for timing. Flat plane with rotational actions. Easy jump off the barrel with strong hands at the point of contact. Middle of the field approach. Secondary righthanded pitcher with a short side step delivery into leg lift above the waist. Short arm action in the back and into a high three-quarter release. Throws strikes in the middle of the zone showing arm side run on the fastball topping out at 79 MPH. Rolling curveball with an 11-to-5 shape with a looser spin. Excellent student as well.
