Jay Lawrence is a 2021 C/3B, SS, OF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Mobile, AL who attends Ums-Wright Preparatory School. Recorded a 7.62 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with some present strength to the build but still room to add more physicality. Primary catcher who throws from a sidearm slot and gains ground well. Accurate throws from a two-handed receiver and a best pop time recorded of 2.00 seconds. Secondary infielder who fields the ball out in front with a clean exchange to the throwing hand. Lefthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Good balance at the plate with an inverted stride into the swing. Some natural loft to the swing plane with a pull-heavy approach. Good student.
