Luis Suarez is a 2022 C/1B with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Syracuse, NY who attends West Genesee HS. Compact medium build with some present strength. 8.25 runner, shows good arm strength behind the plate for his age, has a quick release and makes accurate throws, has young footwork and will have to continue to work hard on improving his lower half quickness and flexibility. Left handed hitter, glides into contact and uses his strong lower half well, has some strength in his swing and can turn on the ball with some jump on his pitch, saw the ball well and was well timed in games, has a chance with the bat. Very good student.
