Tommy Ball is a 2022 RHP/3B, SS with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Radnor, PA who attends Shipley. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, side step moving into a longer leg lift up above belt, gets tall on backside with some gather before landing slightly closed with front side. Shorter arm stroke through the back working to a three-quarters release point, gets on top of throws and creates some sink when on top. Topped out at 76 mph, inconsistent timing at release, picked to contact and fields position well. Can continue to throw curveball more, 11-5 shape up to 64 mph. Fields the ball out front in the infield, funnels into a compact arm action, can incorporate additional footwork through the ball, short steps on the charge, accurate across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a medium hand set at the plate, loads back at start of swing and shows a linear swing path through the ball. Simple approach and has a knowledge of the strike zone, occasionally gets onto front side early, shows a handle for the barrel.
