Kohl Drake is a 2018 LHP/ with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Sachse, TX who attends Wylie HS. Large and strong frame with broad shoulders. Compact and repeatable delivery with a short rocker step into a leg lift above the waist. Gathers well at the balance point and stays tall on the backside. Good line and direction toward the plate. Carries momentum and weight well downhill. Fluid delivery and works with good rhythm and tempo. Curveball has good depth and maintains arm speed on the pitch with 3/7 action. Good angle on the fastball which was up to 83 ph. Fills up the strike zone with easy and repeatable mechanics. Loose arm action and throws from an extended three-quarters arm slot. Good release and extension out in front. Good student.
