Dakota Stone is a 2022 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-11 210 lb. frame from Jacksonville, FL who attends Sandalwood. Large, physical build with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned throughout. Left-handed pitcher, starts on the third base side of the rubber, works across body at release but creates nice angle out of the hand from a three-quarters release. Fastball topped out at 92 mph this look and has been up to 95 mph this summer, effort at release, worked around the zone and to both sides, creates a difficult matchup for left-handed hitters. Present feel for curveball, lands it for strikes, shows depth with occasional slurve finish through the zone in the mid-70s. Good student. Verbal commitment to Jacksonville.
