Tommy Troy is a 2020 SS/2B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Los Gatos, CA who attends Los Gatos. Compact live bodied athlete. 6.41 runner, has very quick twitch actions on the field both offensively and defensively. Has athletic movements defensively with solid hands coming through the ball, footwork is advanced and enables him to play shortstop as much as his arm strength, will sometimes almost get too quick and loose control/balance a bit. Right handed hitter, hits from an even stance with a balanced load and shift, shows strength off the barrel, gets nice separation out front and has more carry and pop than one would expect, gap to gap contact. Well rounded middle infield prospect with both the hands and feet to stand out. Plays hard and with enthusiasm. Excellent student, verbal commitment to Stanford.
