John Michael Coreano is a 2021 C/1B with a 6-3 220 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Melbourne Central Catholic. Large frame with broad shoulders and present strength to build. Recorded a 8.49 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, starts with a higher setup in drills, strong receiver and receives out front, quick transfer, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release, throws are on line with strength and releases are quick. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Showed loud tools at the plate during batting practice and live action. Generates nice bat speed through the zone, shows a mature presence in the box and looks to lift the ball at the point of contact. Has present power to his pull side, uses the body well and looks to do damage, ball comes off the barrel very well with loud contact all over the field in game. Good student. Named to 2019 Uncommitted Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
