2024 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 5)
Saunder Dinkelman is a 2026 C/RHP/IF/OF with a 5-10 176 lb. frame from Tallahassee, FL who attends Lawton Chiles. Medium frame with compact strength, thick lower-half and nice quick twitch to his actions and overall athleticism. Ran the 60 yard dash in a solid 6.84 seconds. Primary position catcher, working from a traditional slightly offset stance, working with quick feet to gain ground to throw. Clean glove work and transfer to high slot arm action pulling down and ripping the ball to the bag. Feeds up to 79 mph and a pop-time best 1.80 seconds with accuracy. Athletic presentation behind the dish with more to come. Reps from the outfield and on the infield showing good fundamental actions making plays. Hands work and when he gets to the throw the ball jumps out of his hand up to 91 mph here with solid feel for accuracy. RHH working from a narrow and slightly open base letting his good handset deliver the barrel efficiently. Low effort to create excellent bat speed as he lined the ball all over the field. Strength at impact is real and it is the type of operation that will play all the way up the line. Really interesting workout, showing the skillset to be an offensive catcher and can play a corner on the clay as well. Elite performer in the classroom as well.
