Nicholas DiCarlo is a 2021 SS/OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Lewiston, NY who attends St. Joseph Collegiate Institute. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a young, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.60 60-yard dash. Listed as primary outfielder, only worked out in the infield in this look; fields the ball out front with some bend in wait, soft hands and shows actions, extra step into release, short arm action and occasionally gets under the ball, ball shows carry when on top. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow and upright stance with a high hand set and low back elbow in the box. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing, short shift through lower half and has a simple set of mechanics which he repeats well. Hands start pulled back in swing, stays linear with swing plane through the zone with a short finish through the ball, uses a pull side approach at the plate but shows ability to work all fields. Very good student.
