Tyler Gerteisen is a 2021 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Tallahassee, FL who attends Lawton Chiles. Medium frame with athletic, physical build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.30 seconds. Hits from slightly open stance, hands start stagnant, rotational in torso, stays on backside through swing, bat-to-ball skills are good, shows whole-field approach. Worked out in the outfield, reads well off the barrel, quick closing speed to the ball, fields cleanly and works through with excellent momentum, gathers athletically and gets off quick throws, clocked up to 90 mph, very real arm strength. Also pitched, and performed well. Simple delivery with good tempo, works quickly, fastball to both sides of the plate with good life, worked in 82-87 mph range, pounded the zone with fastballs, worked in slider and curveball for strikes, also flashed changeup, good outing on the mound and overall through the weekend. Excellent student, named to 2019 Main Event Showcase Top Prospect List.
