Joey Wimpelberg is a 2023 RHP/3B, SS with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Winter Springs, FL who attends Winter Springs HS. Recorded a 7.30 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with room to fill out and add strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a quiet leg lift above the belt. High three-quarters arm slot and filled up the zone with the fastball. Curveball showed 11/5 shape with sharp break and functioned as his out pitch. Comfort throwing to the arm side. Flashed a changeup with some fading action and maintained velocity. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the infield. Righthanded hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Inside hand path to contact and can work to the pull side. Level swing plane with loose hands. Great student.
