Dylan O'Leary is a 2019 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from San Dimas, CA who attends San Dimas. Large frame with broad shoulders. Projects for additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher with a small side step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays tall at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Compact stride and lands in line with the plate. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Fastball produced some running action back to arm side, topped at 79 miles per hour. Consistently hit the strike zone with developing feel for the edges of the plate. Curveball had 2/7 shape with looser spin and good depth. Flashed later depth when stayed on top of offering and maintaining arm speed at release. Also worked out defensively from the outfield and infield showing clean, athletic actions while moving through the baseball. Flashed smooth exchanges while released from a three-quarters arm slot, topped at 86 miles per hour. Projects with a higher ceiling from the outfield. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Looks to throw barrel head to baseball and work to the middle of the field and pull side. Excellent student.
