Alex Markowicz Avila is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Alpine, CA who attends Christian Unified HS. Large frame with present strength in his lower half. Ran a 7.20 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins his delivery with a side rocker step up to a belt high leg lift, takes arm back to a full arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, showed the ability to vary windup speeds for deception, stays online to the plate getting true extension out in front at release, throws with some intent while repeating his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with natural cutting action, mixed in a sharp slider with short break and plenty of feel, filled up the strike zone with both of his offerings. Took reps at the plate at the event, righthanded hitter, sets up with an upright stance and a high hand set, shifts weight well into contact and displays good timing, looseness to his hands with good bat speed, worked the baseball from gap to gap.
