Aiden Key is a 2022 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Marana, AZ who attends Ironwood Ridge. Medium athletic build with some physical projection remaining. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with an early front side to drive his swing, pull side approach, keeps his hands tight and short to the ball, has some hand quickness to drive his bat speed, line drive swing plane. 7.44 runner, shows good athleticism at first base, quick feet coming off the bag, makes accurate throws. Also plays the outfield. Took a turn on the mound, has a fast paced turn and throw delivery, body tends to get out in front of his arm, cross body angle at release. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, works to both sides of the plate and adds and subtracts well from his fastball. Firm slider with some bite and depth is a solid second pitch. Good student.
