Clayton Namken is a 2025 C/RHP, 1B, 3B, SS, OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from New Braunfels, TX who attends New Braunfels. Large, athletic build with physical strength proportioned well throughout frame. Ran a 7.52 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, low set up behind the plate and remains low throughout actions, receives the ball out front, gains nice ground with lower half, one hop accuracy to the bag in drills, gets on top of throws well and repeats actions with arm strength and carry. Also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch, short leg lift with an online stride and drop and drive lower half mechanics. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, showed both a 2-seam and 4-seam, worked around the zone with both, 2-seam showed big tailing life to it with some sink. Weak contact when down in the zone and showed a changeup up to 67 mph with sound arm speed and generates late diving life to the bottom of zone. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a spread stance. Loads hands back with a bar at start but does a nice job of staying short to the ball and putting the strength in hands on display. Quickness to swing overall with athleticism in mechanics, shows control of the barrel and can work to all fields, including the other way with comfort. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
