2025 PG Sunshine Southeast Showcase (National Showcases Qualifier)
Evan May is a 2025 OF/RHP/IF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Ola. Lean athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Primary outfielder on defense who might have two-way potential on the mound. 7.04 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, moves to the ball well and is athletic through the his transition, makes accurate throws with some carry from a high arm slot. Also worked out in the infield but isn't as polished or comfortable there. Right handed hitter, starts from a spread stance, has fast hands and a whippy barrel, gets nice jump off the barrel when he's synced up. Works from a side step delivery on the mound with a medium length arm swing to a 3/4's arm slot, slightly closed on landing out front, simple mechanics he repeats well. Fastball sat in the mid-80's and was thrown for strikes. Threw a upper 60's curveball with some spin and depth as his secondary pitch. Named to the Sunshine Southeast Showcase (National Showcases Qualifier) Top Prospect List.
