Cole Sutton is a 2021 C/UT with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Fayetteville, NC who attends Cape Fear. Medium frame with athletic, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.31 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with low hand set, drops further into load, active hands, good bat speed through the zone, barrel moving on clean path with good timing, gets lower half involved well, middle-pull approach with good line drive jump off the barrel, good hitting tools. Primary catcher, higher set behind the plate, receives well out front and shows good ability to transfer quickly, quick feet, gets out of crouch well, clocked up to 75 mph on throws. Also worked out in the infield, solid footwork with good athleticism to actions, hands solid out front, shows balance through movements, clocked up to 81 mph on throws. Excellent student, named to 2019 Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
