Anthony Fernandez is a 2022 OF/1B with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Santiago, ST who attends Providence Career And Technical. Large frame with a lean build showing strength throughout the build. Ran a 7.37 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, flashed good first step instincts as he tracked the baseball well taking efficient routes. Clean gather to the side and then carried weight well into throws. Full arm action with a few extra shuffles before showing off a strong arm. Threw it 90 mph during drills with accuracy to the bag. Projects well in the outfield as the arm plays in a big way. Left-Handed Hitter, starting spread out with high hands behind the ear. Fast paced load as he creates separation. Proved he could drive it gap to gap on a line and projects power down the road. Named to Underclass Main Event Top Prospect List.
