Jayden Lopez is a 2021 OF with a 5-10 140 lb. frame from Rancho Cucamonga, CA who attends Rancho Cucamonga HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean and projectable with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, takes short strides moving towards the ball, fields the ball out front and works to a full arm stroke through the back, works behind the ball, tall at release and can incorporate additional lower half and footwork into release, shows accuracy on throws. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow; gets closed moving into contact with a gliding leg lift trigger. Full swing path through the zone and shows quickness to hands, able to work with the pitch and go with it in live action. Stays inside the ball with hands and can work to all fields, occasionally open front side early, shows barrel skills and projects with additional strength. Very good student.
