Alan Ferguson Jr is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Magnolia, TX who attends Magnolia West. Ran a 7.32 second sixty-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher with a tall and slender build that has some present athleticism in the frame. Starts from the windup with a rocker step into an over the head delivery and left lift that reaches just above the belt. Utilizes drop and drive actions down the mound, creating good linear direction down the mound and landing on line to the plate at foot strike. Has a long arm action in the back, and gets some natural run to the arm side with the fastball at 80-to-84 miles per hour. Flashes feel for a cutter at 77 miles per hour, and shows a mid-70s changeup as well. Locates well, and generates a good amount of swing an miss. Secondary outfielder that has a good approach to the ball and some present flow to the fielding actions. Positions well and plays through the fielding actions, delivering accurate throws with developing carry to bases at 76 miles per hour. At the plate, has a spread stance and a big leg kick to go along with lower hand set load. Has a line drive swing plane, working a middle of the field approach. Excellent student.
