Kade York is a 2020 SS/RHP, C, 2B with a 5-8 162 lb. frame from Gold Canyon, AZ who attends Skyline. Medium, lean frame with wiry strength. Primary shortstop with athletic actions while moving to and surrounding the baseball. Fluid glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Released from a three-quarters slot but showed the ability to throw with accuracy from multiple arm slot, topped at 77 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly crouched stance and simple front side trigger. Shifts into contact well with linear lower half actions. Direct hand path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Displayed good balanced throughout swing with feel for the barrel. Consistently generated sharp contact off the barrel to the middle of the field. Also pitched showing a simple side step to medium leg lift delivery. Released from a three-quarters arm slot showing good feel for the bottom of the zone in the upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Maintained arm speed with slider offering creating good sweep to glove side in the upper 60's. Also flashed a straight changeup in the low 70's. Located all three offerings within the zone and effectively challenged hitters. Very good student as well.
