Emmett Descherer is a 2021 C/RHP/UT with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Charleston, SC who attends Porter-Gaud HS. Medium and skinny frame with plenty of room to continue to fill out physically. Ran a 7.34 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, sets up in a high crouched stance, receives the baseball out in front with developing hands, takes arm back to a long arm action into release, 2.20 second best pop time. Secondary righthanded pitcher, begins his delivery with a side step up to a high leg lift, takes arm back to a ift, long arm action up to a high ¾ arm slot, lands closed as he comes down the mound, fastball topped out at 80 mph, mixed in a curveball with short 11-to-5 shape. Righthanded hitter, compact swing, simple stroke that he repeats with developing bat speed, consistent middle to opposite field contact during his round of batting practice. Good student.
