Jaylean Wise is a 2022 3B/1B with a 5-10 215 lb. frame from Antioch, CA who attends Deer Valley HS. Thick young build, has strength for his age. Showed quick reactions and athleticism at third base defensively, has good footwork and quick and sure hands, makes accurate throws with developing arm strength, looked equally athletic at first base as well. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base base with a rotational upper body swing, would benefit from getting his back elbow down sooner, downward swing plane, pull approach. Has athleticism to grow into with work and instruction.
