Takeru Higuchi is a 2018 RHP with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Mito, IB who attends Mito Seiryo HS. Young athletic build. Slow deliberate delivery, short and compact arm action from a 3/4's slot, drop and drive mechanics, tends to cut off his front side at release and can extend better. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 76 mph, fastball has some running life when arm side. Change up had nice sinking action at times. Curveball was short and soft. Will continue to improve as he gets better extension and direction through release.
