Clay Minor is a 2021 SS/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Greensboro, NC who attends Northern Guilford. Long and slender young athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Very good runner, 6.68 in the sixty. Has controlled actions and good flow on defense in the middle infield, can bend his knees more consistently in his approach to the ball, has soft hands and a quick release on his throws, plenty of carry on his throws with good accuracy. Also plays the outfield and has the speed and arm strength to excel there as well with more repetitions. Did not pitch but has the type of body, arm strength and projection that would be interesting to see on the mound. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread bent knee stance with no lower half shift into contact, upper body arm generated swing from a still hand start, line drive contact to all fields, can improve as a hitter with lower half adjustments and additional strength. Elite level student.
