Eli Serrano is a 2022 OF/1B with a 6-5 195 lb. frame from Fuquay Varina, NC who attends Pro5 Baseball Academy. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.77 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well for size and shows consistent actions, longer arm action through the back working to a higher slot on throws, will continue to refine, shows arm strength and on line carry to the intended base with present accuracy. Left-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; coils into load, comes out of it well with plenty of quickness and balance. Longer path through the zone, shows strength at impact and generates line drive contact to all parts of the field. Sound bat speed through the zone, easy to project on the power long term, plenty of present launch with carry to pull side. Very good student. Verbal commitment to NC State. Selected to the 2021 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
