Ryan Karbach is a 2021 RHP/2B, 3B with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Berlin, NJ who attends Eastern. Medium, athletic frame with a lean and projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.11 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, belt high leg lift at top of balance point with slight lean onto backside during gather. Steady tempo throughout, on line towards the plate with short stride, can continue to incorporate additional lower half. Full arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point, front side opens early at times and causes inconsistencies to release point. Fastball topped out at 69 mph, shows cutting action at times and able to induce weak contact off the bat; flashed a curveball at 58 mph with short life. Fields the ball out front in the infield with a wide base, takes short steps moving towards the ball, short arm action on throws and shows carry off back leg, comfort in dropping release point too. Righthanded hitter, begins with a narrow and tall stance in the box with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate. Hands stay inside in swing, utilizes a double toe tap trigger for timing in the box. Full swing path through the zone with some lift to path, swings with intent and able to work to all fields, can continue to incorporate additional lower half into weight shift. Good student.
