Lucas Gengler is a 2025 C/RHP with a 6-0 148 lb. frame from Reidsville, NC who attends Reidsville. Tall athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. 7.81 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has young footwork throwing, tends to pop straight up to throw, has some raw arm strength that would improve with better lower half mechanics. Also played the outfield. Right handed hitter, has a quiet hand load and limited lower half shift, leans back his upper body to start his swing, uphill swing plane. Also pitched, has deep arm action in back with an over the top arm path, opens his front side early to let his arm through. Fastball worked in the low 70's and topped out at 74 mph with consistent cutting action due to his mechanics, primary fastball pitcher who worked in a couple of change ups but did not throw a breaking ball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
