Drew Denham is a 2023 MIF/RHP/OF with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from Hartville, OH who attends Marlington. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.35 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, stays low moving towards the ball and works behind it, hands play out front at the ball, works into a longer arm action but shows accuracy across, smooth actions up the middle, will continue to refine footwork, good energy and balance on charge. Also pitched, does a nice job of repeating delivery and remains on line, works to a high three-quarters release point. Works quickly on the mound, fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly true and worked down in the zone, some effort at release and was able to land curveball for strikes up to 63 mph. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Long swing path through the zone and keeps hands tight, shows quickness to them with occasional lift to path. Finds the barrel well and can work to all fields, moves into contact well, occasionally gets to front side early. Excellent student.
