William Wentworth is a 2022 LHP/OF/1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Livermore, CA who attends Granada. Outstanding young athletic build, big and broad shouldered with lots of room to get stronger. Loose and tension free arm on the mound, lands closed with his front foot and shoulder but torques well around it, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, has gained 6 mph from this event last year, gets excellent cutting action on his fastball at times when he's on top of the ball and occasional arm side run as well. Nice spin and power to his curveball, has bite and sharpness. Flashed some developing feel for his change up when he maintains his arm speed. High ceiling young arm. 7.02 runner, shows his athleticism well both in the outfield and at first base. Right handed hitter, hits from a tall stance with a hanging front leg load, fires his hands well from a low hand set, pretty short and direct swing, can get the ball to jump to the pull side when his foot is down in time. Very good all around athlete who is really improving across the board as he gets stronger. Good student. Named to the NorCal Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
