Austin Kurr is a 2023 RHP/1B, 2B, 3B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Plantation, FL who attends Westminster Academy. Recorded a 8.01 second sixty-yard dash time. Projectable frame with long levers and plenty of time and room to add more strength. Primary right-handed pitcher with a simple, repeatable delivery and velocity upside as he continues to mature. Quick paced delivery with small side-step into a slightly higher leg lift, while imploring good lower half movements down the slope. Works from a high three-quarters arm slot with a controlled front side and the ability to create downhill angle. Fastball worked in the mid-to-upper 70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 80 mph in this look. Showed ability to command both sides of the plate effectively, flashing arm-side run when in-sync. Mixed in developing 11-5 curveball that flashes potential for above average spin traits as he gains more arm speed. Secondary infielder with deliberate footwork into and through the fielding process. Displayed clean funnel out in front, while working into a three-quarters arm slot. Recorded arm strength up to 74 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Middle-of-the field approach with repeatable swing path and some feel for the barrel. Well timed swing with loud impact to the pull-side. Solid upside on the mound with more velocity in the tank, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
