Nick Selden is a 2020 RHP/3B with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Fairfield, CT who attends Trinity-Pawling. Big build, soft frame with broad shoulders and some physical strength present. Ran a 6.26 second 40 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, simple side step to a high leg lift, full arm action up to a 3/4 slot, arm turns over through circle early, arm tends to drag as lower half moves down mound, crossfire delivery struggling to get out over front foot, could utilize lower half driving off of back foot more for added velocity, release point varies and is best when releasing out in front. Lived mostly to armside with pitches, fastball has sink topping out at 76 mph across the diamond, curveball has depth and 11-to-5 shape. Also took reps in the infield, sits back on ball fielding ball out in front, developing hands at gather, extra step at release with crow hop into throws, footwork is still developing as well, full and long arm action into throws with solid accuracy to the bag, average arm strength topping out at 73 mph across the diamond. Good student.
