Anthony Sobonya is a 2026 2B/RHP, SS with a 5-1 82 lb. frame from Independence, OH who attends Independence. Young build with narrow shoulders, will continue to add strength and develop moving forward. Ran an 8.93 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, takes short steps moving towards the ball, fields it out front and works into a shorter arm action, tends to open front side early prior to release, shows accuracy across the diamond, arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, side step moving into a medium leg lift, slight coil over the rubber with balance; medium arm circle through back working to a three-quarters release point. Lands on line down the mound, fastball topped out at 60 mph, occasional natural cut to glove side and worked around the zone. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and a medium hand set, utilizes a gliding leg lift trigger for timing. Shifts into contact, swings with intent, keeps hands inside with a linear path through the zone. Creates contact to pull side, long path through the zone, bat speed will continue to develop with added strength.
