Grant Donkin is a 2022 3B/RHP, IF, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Springfield, TN who attends Springfield. Tall and slender frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 6.87 second 60 yard dash. Primary third baseman, worked out in the infield sitting back on the baseball, clean gather out in front, shuffles into his throws, low effort with ease to his movements, accurate arm up to 83 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher, graded out best on the bump, compact delivery and loads well on his backside, drives down the mound with good extension, hides the ball well through the back, fastball topped out at 87 mph with late life through the zone, good downward slider from a well-tunneled slot, shows a great feel for the strike zone. Left-handed hitter, open stance at the plate with a high hand set, bat wrap load with active hands pre-pitch, gets the bat head out in front and shifts well into contact, creates a flat path through the hitting zone, gets downhill with his hands, young barrel feel and more consistent contact will come with adjustments to plane.
