Justin Cruz is a 2026 SS/RHP/MIF with a 6-2 181 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Archbishop Coleman Carroll. Big solid frame. On the mound, works from a hybrid delivery with a side step to stretch like actions down the mound. He gets over the front foot well with a high three-quarters release. Fastball shows subtle run/sink action. Hit the zone with the fastball frequently and flashed a striaght changeup that shows some signs of promise. In the outfield, he takes big strides to close down to the fielding point. Long arm action with soild to average carry. In the infield, he shows light feet despite taking very long strides. The glove works well through the fielding point with an arm that can make all the throws. Right handed hitter, sets with an even base working into a heel turn load. Timing inconsistences lead to medium deep opposite field contact. There is signs of strength in the hands and proportioned throughout the frame, has the makings if he can make it regularly show up in his swing. 7.43 60 yard. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
