Conner Boyd is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend. Strong athletic build with room to fill out. Ran a 7.25 second sixty yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary infielder. Flashed low out front funnels with confident glove actions and a clean backhand. Showed the ability to work around and through the ball with athletic actions. Displayed quick transfers into throws with good arm strength and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 74 miles per hour across the diamond. Right handed hitter. Employs an even stance with a leg lift trigger. Uses a rotational lower half with a line drive barrel plane and good barrel speed looking to pull line drives. Showed good barrel control with consistent loud line drives during batting practice. Displayed the ability to create driven contact into the gaps when squared and on time. Also pitched. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and falling off to the first base side at finish. Uses a compact arm action going to a mid three-quarter arm slot at release with good arm speed. Flashed a fastball with good control to the glove side up to 76 miles per hour and a 11/5 curveball with bigger depth at 69 miles per hour. Great student.
