Jack Briest is a 2022 OF/LHP, 1B with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Parker, CO who attends Legend. Long lanky build with present athleticism and strength. Ran a 7.31 second sixty-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary outfielder. Flashed long athletic strides to the ball with confident glove actions and quicker transfers into throws with clean footwork. Showed good arm strength with accurate online carry to the bases topping out at 80 miles per hour from the outfield. Also worked out defensively from first base. Displayed clean glove actions fielding with deeper funnels. Showed good arm strength with quick transfers and accurate carry to the bases topping out at 79 miles per hour from first base. Left handed hitter. Utilizes a fluid barrel path with quick hands creating good bat speed. Showed the ability to drive the ball to the pull side to and through the gaps in the outfield as well as over the fence with consistently driven contact. Also pitched at the event. Employs a small side step to belt high leg lift staying slightly flexed at gather going to drop and drive actions down the mound landing online with the plate and staying online through finish. Utilizes a shallow arm action with looseness and good arm speed. Displayed a heavy fastball with developing control up to 76 miles per hour complemented with a sharper 1/7 curveball up to 65 miles per hour. Excellent student.
