Lennon Richman is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from St Thomas, VI who attends VI Montessori School and Peter Gruber International. Medium slender build with plenty of room to fill out as he develops. Primary shortstop, shows good fluidity to and through the baseball and he possesses soft hands. Works very well moving to his glove side and understands his footwork. Strong arm across the diamond with great carry on his throws. On the mound, has a long arm action from an over the top slot. Finds some downward angle to the plate on his fastball up to 79 mph. Leans back towards first base as he comes up to his mid to high leg lift. Breaking ball is an 11-to-5 shaped curveball with good late bite. Great promise on the pitch. At the plate, he's a switch hitter with a pretty similar looking stance on both sides. Hands work more inside the baseball from the left side of the plate. Finds some whip with his barrel from the right side thanks to a slight hand coil going into his load. Uphill path through the zone from both sides of the plate, uses the middle of the field well. Excellent student in the classroom.
