Caleb Friesen is a 2023 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Benicia, CA who attends Benicia. Large, broad shoulders frame with present strength on build. Ran a 7.82 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, side step moving into a higher leg lift at top of delivery; medium arm circle through the back working to a mostly higher release point, will vary release points, remains on line down the mound. Fastball topped out at 72 mph, can continue to implement additional finish over front side; mixed both a breaking ball up to 61 mph and a changeup up to 68 mph. Fields the ball out front in the outfield, shows footwork in actions, shows on line accuracy with throws when working on top of throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, begins with a narrow and open stance; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Gets closed moving into contact, occasionally gets to front side early; uphill with path at times, short through the zone, incorporates physical strength and shows ability to lift at point of contact with carry to pull side gap.
