Mario Cottrell Jr. is a 2025 SS/2B/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Millville, NJ who attends Millville. A younger frame with a lean and compact build. Ran a 7.21 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder who was patient with his approach as he worked through the round. He threw from a lower slot across the diamond, moving alright up the middle. Throws were around the bag and showed some urgency to get the ball out. Made a real nice play on the slow roller, moving through it well and adjusting the arm slot nicely. Showed some rhythm to the hands and showed a feel for his glovework. Threw 77 mph across the diamond during his round of infield throws. A right-handed hitter who sets up with an even base. He uses a front foot reach to get in a rhythm with hands stationed lower and tighter to the body. He drifts over the front side and gets the barrel on the ball as he makes contact. He used the whole field during his round of BP swings. Added a double in-game as well.
