Wesley Raney is a 2023 C/3B, SS with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from McDonough, GA who attends Union Grove. Recorded a 7.25 second 60-yard dash time. Primary catcher with a smaller frame and medium build. Conventional stance with a slight side-saddle posture on throws. Recorded a 2.08 second pop time with a quick release and throws up to 73 mph. Gains ground while throwing with a lower arm-slot from a mid-body exchange and release. Right-handed hitter with a hanging leg-lift stride and short compact swing. Grooved path to the middle-of-the-field with some loft to the pull side when he gets extended out front. Added size and strength in the young frame will enhance the impact in the box to all fields. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
