Damon Herzchel is a 2026 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Linwood, NJ who attends Mainland Reg. Lean athletic build with plenty of room and time to get stronger. Left handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a high front leg load, drops his back shoulder to start his swing, has quick hands to get the barrel going, home run/lift type approach at present, works the middle of the field. 7.84 runner in the sixty. Young actions in the outfield, still learning to work through the ball and carry his momentum through his throws, will continue to improve with repetitions and coaching. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a long arm circle in back, short stride out front, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, tends to pull off early with his front side. Fastball worked in low 60's and topped out at 63 mph, works mostly to his glove side with some occasional cutting action. Mixed in an occasional breaking ball.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
