Daniel Major is a 2022 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from San Jose, CA who attends Pioneer. Slender young athletic build with plenty of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, has a nice lower half shift into contact, fast hands that create some bat speed when turning on the ball, is aggressive attacking inner half fastballs and showed surprising pop in the games, high contact short and direct swing with a line drive path. 7.18 runner in the sixty. Has very quick feet in the infield on defense and positions himself well, has clean glove work out front due to his lower half actions, quick transfer from fielding to throwing. Also pitched, high leg lift delivery, gets into his lower half well moving down the mound, 3/4's whippy arm action, short stride out front. Mid-70's fastball is mostly straight, curveball was his best pitch this outing with good consistency and some 11/5 shape. Whole key to his future is how much stronger he can get, has the actions and athletic quickness. Excellent student.
