Mark Humphries is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Blythewood, SC who attends Heathwood Hall Episcopal. Medium build with plenty of room to get stronger. Works from the stretch with a long arm action in back, slow paced with a pause at the back of his arm stroke, can get early with his front side at times causing his arm to rush through release. Fastball topped out at 73 mph, worked mostly to his glove side due to his front side. Also threw a low-60's curveball with some shape when he stayed closed. 7.40 runner in the sixty, plays the outfield when not on the mound and showed some carry on his throws from a lower arm slot. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a high hand load, short downhill line drive swing with middle of the field orientation. Excellent student.
