Evan Brand is a 2027 SS/RHP/C with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Acworth, GA who attends Kell. Slender young build. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has good footwork working thru the ball, clean funnel and stays balanced well, developing arm strength, makes accurate throws due to his footwork. Also catches, has the same solid footwork and fundamentals, good direction into his throws, repeats his actions well. Switch hitter at the plate, has an easy and balanced swing left handed, hits under control with a line drive swing plane, lots of barrels with gap to gap contact. Not as much bat speed from the right side, simple contact swing with mostly pull side contact from a wide base. Also pitched, throws from a basic leg raise delivery with good direction to the plate, high 3/4's to over the top arm slot, throws strike with a fastball up to 75 mph to go with a sinking change up and soft curveball. Very good fundamental player who will keep improving in proportion with how much stronger he gets. Very good student.
